When I reached my 20s era, nobody ever warned me what I needed to expect ahead. Now that I’m reaching my 30s, I dare to say my 20s were full of challenges. I learn a lot and experience a lot. I struggle a lot; I've been in a depression phase for quite some time and still am now, but I can now control myself and be stable. My 20s are full of trying and failing. My faith is tested; I fail in love a couple of times. Trust is broken, betrayal over and over again. Getting hurt by someone I trust and love more than I can ever imagine. But thank God I’m still here. If any of you who read this are still in school or just turn 20 and don't know what will happen, I will share to you what can you expect and how to achieve happy life
1. Set Your Boundaries
One important thing I’ve learned is that you must set your boundaries and keep your private matters to yourself as much as possible.
Not everything needs to be shared, and sometimes, certain things are better left unknown to others.
2. Set Your Work-Life Balance
After jumping from one job to another, I can say that finding work that offers a healthy work-life balance is very important. Your colleagues can be your best friends but remember don’t take them too close to your heart.
3. Expect Betrayal and Broken Promises
In life, you’ll meet countless people with different behaviors, and you can never truly predict what’s in their hearts. Today, someone can be your closest friend, and in the next moment, they can become your biggest enemy. So never expect anyone to stay loyal forever.
4. Love Yourself and Appreciate Your Efforts
For all the hard work you’ve done, never forget to love yourself and appreciate your efforts.
Make it a yearly habit to reward yourself because every bit of your hard work deserves to be celebrated.
Growing into adulthood is hardcore. It’s going to be tough — full of challenges and obstacles you can’t even imagine. Whatever lies ahead, just give your very best and leave the rest to God, for He knows the best path for you.
